Under the general direction of the Program Manager, the Solutions Engineer I will be responsible for leading solution development program initiatives using components across InTouch’s diverse Product lines including Physician Services, Connected Devices, Schedule and Clinical Workflows. Serves as champion of InTouch’s Product Life Cycle Process (PLCP) leading programs from Idea Generation, Tech/Market Assessment, Business Case, Concurrent Development through Implementation/Operations. Works closely and cross functionally with research, engineering, product, marketing, sales, technical services, and operations teams. Must be extremely effective working with cross functional internal stakeholders, field facing sales teams, and customers. Is well versed in Agile Development methodologies on both software and hardware development projects.
Lead the multidisciplinary product development process for creation and delivery of integrated hardware and software systems to enable InTouch solutions
Manage all aspects of a program from initiation to implementation including cost estimates and drafting SOWs for solution development initiatives
Create and work to project plans with an emphasis on critical path management and handling of change controls
Communicate with and align project stakeholders and customers
Manage solution development following Agile Kanban methodologies, best practices, and dependencies on other internal product development teams
Provide effective pre-sales support as required, including devising and costing viable solutions, and working closely with the sales and marketing teams on “Go to Market” plans
Motivate the project team, nurturing individuals’ development through clear objective setting and providing regular feedback on performance
Manage and develop client relationships including identifying and liaising with Key Opinion Leaders such as clinicians, customer program directors and executives
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
Experience in Healthcare oriented product implementation & development required
Experience with Agile Development methodology required
Lean Business Model development tools experience including lean canvas desired
Excellent organization skills. Proactively prioritize work with minimal direction, and effectively manage resources to meet objectives and deadlines
Establish and maintain customer relationships. Build trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations
Knowledge of healthcare systems and relevant workflows
Skills in multi-tasking, problem resolution, planning and expediting work flow
Ability to work independently and under pressure to follow through on issues
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
Strong technical skills/ability to communicate effectively with the product development team and business stakeholders
Program Management experience (PMI certification a plus)
Agile Development experience with Confluence and JIRA desired
Excellent change management skills (Lean Six Sigma training and certification a plus)
BS/BA Required. MBA, RN, Computer Science, or Engineering degree a strong plus
Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical and / or healthcare industries
Minimum of 3 years of experience of project management or solution development preferred
Normal office environment
To be located in either Santa Barbara, California or Asheville, North Carolina
Highly flexible, including a willingness to regularly travel (~25%)
