Director, Corporate Training & Professional Development

The Director, Training and Professional Development will be fully accountable for the development and delivery of high quality hands-on performance based training, via both face-to-face and via on-line means, in support of the InTouch Sales Certification Program, for the direct field sales force. This position will be responsible for 1) facilitating, supporting and managing new employee in house training, 2) development and management of remote training programs, and 3) developing and implementing professional development and best practices content/curriculum for field employees. This includes but is not limited to: employee needs analysis, leading in-house training in conjunction with executive team and faculty, ongoing evaluation of current customer training and implementation processes and developing efficiencies to scale customer training.
Gather Input, Feedback and Suggestions from the field team for continuous improvement of our Sales Certification program, training content and delivery
Manage a team of subject matter experts, 3rd party venders and direct staff to develop High Quality Hands-On Performance Based Online and Face-to-Face Training Content, Leadership Guides, Evaluation Checklists, and Reinforcement Mobile Sales Tools
Manage the entire Sales Certification Program, including tracking, reward and recognition programs
Control the quality and quantity of training content and materials being developed by marketing specialists, product specialists, RAM’s, etc.
Assist marketing and sales management with overall marketing goals and activities related to training, aligned with the current respective marketing plans
Forecast and manage training revenues and expenses
Develop and implement content training processes, templates to ensure standardization of format, delivery, and quality of the training materials
Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), including: course catalog, syllabi, and learning paths
Project manage curriculum development initiatives, communicate progress to stake holders and dealers
Research, plan, and implement leading technologies for the adult learning industry.
Identify and assess future and current employee training needs through job and skill set analysis and consultation with staff managers
Deploy a variety of training methods to align with best practices for adult learning
Monitor and evaluate training programs’ effectiveness and success, providing feedback to senior leadership
Identify opportunities for ongoing staff development through regular interaction with field staff including time spent in the field
Resolve any specific training problems and tailor programs as necessary
In coordination with senior leadership, develop and implement best practice professional development tools/curriculum
Maintain in house training content, curriculum, schedules, and communicate regularly with faculty
Work with in house training faculty to understand their educational content and be able to substitute or find appropriate substitute in their absence
Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
Facilitate/execute core competencies for field staff as appropriate with direction from managers
Work in conjunction with Product Management and Marketing in developing remote training tools for both InTouch staff and external customers
Demonstrates a high level of skill and effectiveness in customer training activities
Develops and maintains collaborative and value-added relationships with customers and ITH colleagues
Communicate regularly and effectively with other ITH colleagues
Demonstrate a high degree of personal organization and effective management and utilization of marketing material and training tools
Demonstrates and maintains a high degree of technical understanding of ITH products and related wireless tools and technologies
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
Ability to leverage Articulate Storyline or comparable e-learning content development software
Experience managing staff and budgets, and field experience working with dealers
Proven track record of developing Performance Based Training content for adults in both classroom and demonstration settings
Must have very effective verbal and written communication skills
Must have excellent presentation skills to communicate vision and expectations
Computer literacy required and must have an excellent working level of MS Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
Must have analytical skills that can summarize data from different sources into a concise format that can be easily expanded and communicated to support a particular initiative
Project management skills to manage multiple training content development projects simultaneously
High energy level and positive ‘can-do” attitude
Demonstrates confidence and leadership abilities
Flexible to unexpected client requests/ needs and enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment.
Candidates will possess acute care hospital experience in a management role either clinical or non-clinical
Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, emphasis on applied sciences a plus
7 to 10 years of experience with delivering and developing health care related training curriculum
Certification in Criterion Referenced Instruction / Performance Based training development and delivery
Proven track record of leading cross functional teams and managing a team of direct reports to develop and deliver effective training content within budget constraints
Project Management experience
Working environment is divided between a corporate and home office setting. Extensive travel is required
Must be able to push/move/transport robots, weighing over 200 lbs with wheeled assistance
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
