Software Engineer (PAS)

This position will design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and applications for front-end user software, remote presence endpoint platform software, communication software, web applications, and database systems. Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming (required)
  • Experience with C++ (desired)
  • Experience with Windows, Visual Studio (desired)
  • Experience with HTML, CSS (desired)
  • Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS (desired)
  • Experience with source code repositories (Perforce, Git) (desired)
  • Experience with iOS programming (desired)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in design and development of new features, products, and utilities
  • Support, maintain, document, and write unit tests for software
  • Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed
  • Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements
  • Consult with Product Management to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs
  • Write technical specifications and requirements definition based on conceptual design and stated business requirements
  • Maintain existing code, port it to new platforms
  • Work under close to moderate supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment
  • Consult with senior peers on complex projects to learn through experience

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Highly skilled with extensive proficiency
  • Typically requires 0 to 3 years of experience
  • 4 year degree or equivalent, Master’s degree preferred
  • English-language written and spoken communication skills
