Technical Writer

InTouch Health is the leading telehealth solution company enabling specialist physician care anytime, anywhere.  We are looking for an eager, self-starting Technical Writer to join our team!  Under general supervision, this position will interface with Engineering and Marketing to develop internal and user facing documentation for current and future InTouch product lines, ecosystem partners and clinical application software.  Responsibilities will include writing and editing internal procedures, release notes, product specifications, product reference manuals, and usability testing to validate documentation. The Technical Writer will also assist the Product Management team with customer & product migrations, product training and demos and other assorted product launch and support functions.


  • Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology for InTouch Products
  • Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or product management needs
  • Confer with customer representatives, vendors, or publisher to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for customer publication
  • Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding for InTouch Products
  • Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate InTouch Products
  • Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology operating procedure
  • Interview Marketing and Engineering personnel and read journals and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods
  • Observe production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedure and detail
  • Assist in laying out material for publications such as product release notes, migration instructions, product updates
  • Analyze developments in specific field to determine need for revisions in previously published materials and development of new material

Knowledge, Skills & Ability

  • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
  • Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design
  • Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
  • Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance


  • BA (or equivalent)
  • Preferred: Adobe Framemaker or other Adobe applications knowledge
